About PHIAC

The Private Health Insurance Administration Council (PHIAC) is an independent Statutory Authority that exists under the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 for the purpose of  regulating the private health insurance industry in Australia. PHIAC observes and promotes the APS Values and APS Code of Conduct and expects its staff to adopt these as the values that guide and influence their behaviour in the workplace.

Working at PHIAC

PHIAC offers a supportive and balanced workplace where staff responsibilities are aligned to strategic objectives and business controls. Staff performance is maximised through ongoing training and learning opportunities. Performance expectations are clearly articulated in an annual performance agreement which is regularly reviewed.
